Hire CCUA’s Edible Landscaping team for your residential or commercial site. We strive to make our Edible Landscaping Services as environmentally friendly as possible. We do not use chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We respect plant and soil health as well as your own by embracing organic practices. We also strive to make our services as socially conscience as possible. A portion of our service fees directly fund the Opportunity Gardens program. This outreach program provides gardening materials and mentoring to low-income households and institutions that serve low-income or otherwise disadvantaged people.

I really would like to have 3-4 backyard egglayer chickens, but am on a fixed income. The ready made coops are kinda expensive. Is there an assistance program that can help me get started? thank you
A good low-budget solution is to build your own. The Columbia Area Career Center is offering a series of chicken-related workshops. One of them is “Chicken Coop Construction”. The class is taught by Mary Stilwell, she will help you find free materials to build your coop and you will look at coops around Columbia.
