2012 marks the first year of commercial production expansion for the CCUA. Our landlord has most graciously given us the go ahead to grow on another vacant lot he owns. This one is on West Ash Street next door to one of the Columbia Garden Coalition’s community gardens. In 2012, the CCUA staff is focusing on preparing beds and making initial soil amendments. The first sellable produce coming out of that plot will hit the market in 2013. Be ready for a surge in CCUA produce then. With this new acquisition, our total cultivated land just tops an acre!
