Spring, summer, and fall interns and volunteers are the impetus behind CCUA’s day-to-day activities. Come on out and help CCUA build a community with a strong local food system.
Internships require a time commitment and can include students seeking credit or non-students seeking experience. We offer internships catering to a variety of interests and academic majors including: agriculture, education, business, marketing, and photojournalism, to name a few. Interns gain hands-on practical experience in their field of interest or study. If you are interested in obtaining an internship with CCUA, please contact dan@columbiaurbanag.org.
Volunteers can come out to help and learn on a more casual basis. We have regularly scheduled volunteer times at our Urban Farm and at Kilgores Community Garden located at 700 N. Providence. We have irregular volunteer times at our Demonstration Garden. Volunteers are members of the public who help out while getting their hands dirty and learning about urban food production.
in the field of urban agriculture, but they also have
lots of fun while making new friends.
