Assistant Farm Manager at Columbia’s Agriculture Park
This is a full-time position with CCUA at Columbia’s Agriculture Park that begins January 2026. Under the direction of the Farm Manager, the Assistant Farm Manager will help oversee daily operations and management tasks for CCUA’s Planting for the Pantry Program. Job responsibilities include a range of tasks, such as:
Execute farm tasks including but not limited to crop planning, seeding, planting, cultivating, harvesting, irrigating, and washing of produce
Ensure that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
Maintain site and harvest records throughout the season
Assist in the planning of a weekly schedule and prioritization of to-do items
Facilitate volunteer groups
Veterans Urban Farm Program Manager
This is a full-time position with CCUA. The Veterans Program Manager will lead operations, programming, and site management at the Veterans Urban Farm. Job responsibilities include a range of tasks, such as:
Overseeing job skills training, food production, wraparound services, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships, especially with the Truman VA Hospital
Working closely with a full-time Assistant Manager
Coordinating Transitional Worker participants, apprentices, and volunteers to ensure high-quality training, safe farm operations, and positive Veteran experiences
Veterans Urban Farm Assistant Manager
This is a full-time position with CCUA at our Veterans Urban Farm. The Assistant Manager will support daily operations, programming, and site management at the Veterans Urban Farm. Working under the direction of the Veteran Urban Farm Manager, job responsibilities will include a range of tasks, such as: in this role you will
Implement job-skills training, food production activities, volunteer projects, and community partnerships—especially with the Truman VA Hospital
Work closely with Veterans participating in the Veterans Employment Program and volunteers to ensure safe, productive farm operations and positive experiences for all participants
Be responsible for managing the farm and program when the Veterans Program Manager is absent.
Natural Resources Intern at Columbia's Agriculture Park
This is a part-time internship with CCUA through the Johnny Morris Institute of Fisheries, Wetlands and Aquatic Systems at the University of Missouri is. This student intern will work directly with CCUA’s Agriculture Park Foodscaping Manager. The intern will gain experience in:
Plant propagation
Wetland management
Community conservation strategies
Plant health observation
Leading educational volunteer shifts.
