Join CCUA for an afternoon of hands-on informational workshops where you get to learn how to farm YOUR yard! This event is FREE to attend, however you must pre-register to reserve your spot. What is Field Day?

Field Day is a free afternoon of informative workshops about gardening and small-scale farming.

How is the event structured?

The event will take place from 2pm-7pm consisting of workshops, a social hour, and a Q&A panel!

  • Workshops – Workshops will run from 2pm-5:30. See schedule and workshop descriptions below. Please make sure to note each workshop's time! Multiple workshops will be running at the same time.

  • Refreshments – Enjoy refreshments from 5:45pm-6pm after finishing your afternoon workshops. Grab some food, chat with fellow gardeners in our community, and settle into your seat for our Q&A panel. A huge thank you to Missouri Farmers Union for sponsoring the food for this event.

  • “Ask A Gardener” Panel – The event will conclude with a Q&A panel with CCUA staff from 6pm-7pm.

Workshop Schedule & Map

Where will Field Day take place?

Columbia’s Agriculture Park located at 1769 W Ash Street.

Workshops will take place across the park (see map above) but start out of one of three locations: the East Pavilion, the West Pavilion, or in CCUA’s Schoolhouse. Please note that some workshops require walking to another location in the park. This is noted on our class map and schedule above.

How much does it cost?

Field Day is completely free! We just ask that you reserve a free ticket and RSVP to the classes you will be attending at check-out so we can account for the amount of attendees!

Workshop Descriptions
